New series 30000 Train for Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau to Debut in Spring 2009.

Kinki Sharyo has manufactured and delivered a new “30000 Series” six-car train to the Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau for the service on the Tanimachi Subway Line.
This marks the first updating of the rolling stock on the Tanimachi Subway Line since the 20 Series train began service in 1990. Although based on the design of the 20 Series, the new train incorporates several highly advanced technologies. The cab ends of the train feature a softer rounded design made of stainless steel, while the laser-welded sides provide an appealing finish with minimal distortion. The overall effect is both pleasing and elegant.
Scheduled to begin service in March 2009, this innovative train is expected to provide excellent service.

For passenger convenience, car numbers on the exterior sides of the cars are large and easy to read

The yellow floor markers at the door way highlight the step line. The difference in level with the platform has also been reduced.

The cab ends feature a softer rounded design.

The LCD passenger information display is capable of displaying information in four languages.


The cars have spacious interiors.


The contoured seating (bucket seats are) is introduced to provides passengers with a wider seating area.
