In
the past, there were problems with newspaper vending machines
when they were installed in front of stores. As the outlets
to remove the newspapers were not covered, the newspapers got
wet on rainy days. And it is also said that it is possible for
newspapers to be stolen. In order to solve these problems, we
have developed a closed type (covered type) newspaper vending
machine by attaching a flapper shutter made of extruded aluminum
over the outlet. Near the coin slot there is a fluorescent tube
that displays the news headlines or advertising as well as a
guide about how to pay for the newspaper. To meet the need to
sell other publications, including horse racing and boat racing
newspapers, automobile catalogs and different kinds of application
forms in addition to ordinary newspapers, we have made extensive
improvements by attaching various accessories, and included
a 1,000 yen note identification system and a printer to print
sales information. We started selling three types of this machine, the 3, 5, and 10 type, on August 1, 2002 and they have had a favorable reception. |
